Lucy And Charlie, Her GIANT Aqua Dog

Lucy got a new collar again, and while at the pet store, I saw a GIANT aqua dog. She had to have him. I named him Charlie. He is giant and he drags between her legs as she tries to carry him everywhere with her. After visiting Brandon, Lucy was so tired, she fell asleep on the way home, on a pillow on Travis' lap. She sleeps with Charlie each night in her bed. Today we gave Lucy a bath, which she hates, but there is nothing like a fresh smelling, soft puppy in your lap. She is developing nicely, and has the sweetest of personalities. Notice how long her ears are. They are always getting bigger, and we joke that the "Ear Fairy comes at night and stretches her ears out" and that she is going for the world record. Lucy is 5 months and one week old. She will go in to be fixed in 3 weeks, as she has to be 6 months. The thought of them cutting into her soft pink belly pains me. But I am sure she will be fine. Technology makes this easier and easier (on puppies or parents?!)

Lucy In The Leaves With Brandon

Last weekend, Travis, Lucy and I went to visit Brandon, Stephanie and Brian. On arrival, we got to make ghosts for the tree out of leaves and bags. Lucy was not sure what to do with the leaves but Brandon helped clear up anything that was unclear for her,by jumping in a big pile yelling "Lucy! Like this!" She did get the hang of it. In this picture, which is small, but quite precious if you click on it and look at if full sized, Brandon is talking to Lucy about fall leaves. He liked to hold the leash that let her go farther away then last time she was here with her baby lead. Lucy also enjoyed meeting the neighbors tiny little doggie, chasing and barking at the rake while Brian worked, and playing fetch with Brandon's Channel 27 football. Brandon thought it was funny that we call her "Lucy Pants" and kept yelling it at her to get her attention. Her listening skills were not the best, as so many new smells were far more interesting to her. We had a good time visiting, it was a nice fall day.

"I Can Do It All By Myself!!!!"

Lucy has learned to jump onto the couch by herself now. She still asks to be boosted sometimes, and that makes me happy. Lucy has been growing bigger and bigger each day. She has grown out of her 2nd collar already including the orange one. I am getting her a new orange one tomorrow. She has been doing good in her big girl bed. She sleeps with her blue fleece space ship blanket and aqua dog. She is not going pooh in the kitchen at night so we are not locking the cage. We went to feeding her two times a day instead of three and she pottys outside right after eating so we now have more control. She also has more control as her little body is getting bigger. She continues to make me laugh and smile every day. She loves hugs and often on walks, she would rather be carried and kiss you the whole way. I am so lucky to have her in my life. In this picture, I have her down in the lower level to have some time to get used to Timmie and Timmie used to her. They don't really care about the other. I am curious why only Sara commented on the entry of Lucy sleeping with her Halloween Aqua dog. I thought it was really cute and sweet.
